Almost "Untouchable"
One year ago I purchased the 16GB original iPod Touch. At that time, I found that even though it had some flaws, the over-all package made it one of the best iPods available. Now, one year later, Apple has released the next generation Touch. I've now had it for a few days, and here's what I found: the second gen iPod Touch is a marked improvement over the the first gen, and comes even closer to perfection. Keeping this in mind, this review will show one big, and a number of smaller shortcomings. It may also be difficult to justify upgrading from the 1st to 2nd gen unless you simply must have one of the few hardware improvements, and can live with the fact that you may have to re-purchase some of your accessories.Size and DimensionsThe iPod Touch now sports a more rounded design on the back, making it look slightly thinner and more like the iPhone than the original did (it is not really thinner than it's predecessor, just looks that way). The iPod Touch debuted only one year ago, and this is the first update. I was excited to pick up the new iPod Touch at the Apple Store because I had never owned a first generation, though I do own iPhones.I want to concentrate primarily on the new features:First, physical volume buttons are now placed on the side of the iPod Touch as they are on the iPhone. This is very convenient. It allows you to adjust the volume of your music, without having to pull the entire device out of your pocket and activate the screen. A time saver.Second, many people requested a built-in speaker for the iPod Touch like is available on the iPhone. Apple listened. However, there is one important point to make on this! This is my first iPod Touch. It's the 8GB 3rd Generation model.My thinking was, the 8GB would be fine since I intended on using thismainly as a pocket computer for email/internet and I don't havea huge amount of music/pics/movies that I wish to carry aroundeverywhere I go. Ordered it from Amazon on Sat morning and it wason my doorstep Monday morning! Mad props for Amazon on that one!The Touch is everything I expected it to be and more. Am having a lotof fun with it and have loaded up some family pics, video, and musicbut I don't have a huge library of music so the 8 gigger should dome fine for awhile.To touch base on some of the + features. The wifi works flawlessly on mine.I've only had this iPod for five days now but I've connected to wirelessnetworks other than my own and it hasn't missed a beat.I've been using the alarm clock feature every morning since I got this thing! Buyer Beware
I love the iPod touch, and if you are thinking of buying one, I'm sure you'll be very pleased. However, please note that there is no such thing as an 8GB 3rd generation iPod touch. Apple did not manufacture and 8GB version during the 3rd generation era. If you are buying an 8GB edition, it MUST be either a 2nd generation or a 4th generation version. Anyone claiming to sell an 8GB version of a 3rd generation unit is not providing accurate information.For example, this serial number MC086LL/A (as described by an Amazon.com seller) is not a 3rd gen version, even though that is what they are advertising. It is probably a common misconception, but people need to know what they are buying.One easy way to determine the version is to verify whether or not the iPod touch has a camera on the front (screen) side of the unit. If it does, this is a 4th gen model. If it does not, it is a 2nd gen model (assuming we're talking about the 8GB version specifically)...

Great cover at a good price
I was bit hesitant to order this cover since it only had one review but I admit it was great buy. It's the perfect mix of hard and soft rubber with clear back. It's stylish and looks great. It fits very well on the Ipod touch 4th gen with access ports for headphones, charging/upload jack and camera. The power and volume buttons are covered but are "raised" and allows for easy use. The material is not a lint magnet like some silicone covers and I carry it in my pocket frequently. I would highly recommend this product.

Great Price + Quality = Happy Customer
The price of this case is unbeatable, and that is just it, for under $5 this case will protect your iPod from scratches and screen shattering drops.The only thing I do not like is the exposed Apple logo area. There is nothing there, just open space for keys or whatever to scratch away at the apple logo. That is the only thing that annoys me about this case but, for this price, I won't complain.The grip on this case is amazing compared to my old case which was more smooth and was hard plastic. This case has grips on the side and I can feel it when I am holding the device. This just means it will be less likely to slip out of your hands, unless of course you just open your hand when your holding your iPod.The shipping took a bit long as the package was shipped from Hong Kong, so if your about to buy, I'm giving you a heads up on the shipping time.Some reviewers are saying that the case is peeling away at the screen protector they had on...

Good Cover For The Money
I wanted to get a stylish case for my 4th Generation iPod Touch, but one that would protect it sufficiently from drops and scrapes.Its made of hard plastic and rubber, and each surface is incorporated effectively into the design.Once installed, this case looks "hi-tech" and fits very snug on all corners. The only flaw is the small rubber strip that runs across the bottom edge near the charger plug that probably could have been omited. Or conversely, made this section using the hard plastic. Its a minor annoyance that I am willing to overlook due to the good price.Overall, I am pleased with my purchase and recommend this protective case to my fellow Amazonians.

So Much **MORE** Than Just An MP3 Player!
This is my first iPod and MP3 player. So far I've had the iPOD TOUCH (32-GIG/3RD GEN) for two-weeks and I'm loving it.It's does so much more than just play music, which is why I wanted one. I'm not a Mac person at all but the iPod Touch...I love it.Out of the box it found my Wi-Fi connection and had me surfing the net (the real Internet and not the cell phone web pages like the one on my Verizon phone). It was intuitive to use and I'm finally getting accustomed to using the touch screen to scroll and type away.This review is mostly for other iPod newbies like myself.
