Great little speaker!
I bought this unit so I could have background music during parties and other events at my house. When it's just me, I can crank it up and the sound is pretty good. At more moderate levels, it's excellent. I've tested it with heavy metal, classic rock, dance, jazz and ballads. As you will undoubtedly read when looking at similar product reviews, the bass is not very strong, but it's not supposed to be on an item of this price. I gave this 5 stars because it performs perfectly for what it is intended for. And free super saver shipping is nice too!

A Good Value
I was looking for a decent, inexpensive speaker for a small space - and that's what I got. The sound is good, neither awful nor excellent - about what you'd expect for its pricepoint - and I have yet to come across any distortion, after some fairly extensive experimenting with different volume levels and music genres. It's nicely compact, able to be easily toted from room to room.What knocked a star off for me is its compatibility with the second generation iPod nano. The packing does include an adapter to support the nano (with separate adapters for first and second generation) within the docking station, but something in its dimensions is off; when the nano is inserted, it doesn't dock fully. Removing the insert and plugging the nano into the full space worked fine and it's possible to jury-rig two of the other adapters to support the nano, but it was still a moment's frustration.Overall, the problem with the docking wasn't enough to truly damage the...

Great investment
I purchased this Ipod round speaker and I like it. However, I did return the item when I first received it because it was not working correctly. There was too much static. I return it for an exchange and as soon as I received the new one I tried it at it worked. I work in an office at this is perfect for my limited space. I recommend this item to anyone who want a speaker that will not bother other coworkers. good working item.

Superlative sound and convenience, but no remote switch.
[Update: In answer to some questions, this stereo has a conventional audio input, so you can easily use it with sound sources other than an iPod. As someone has observed, the Cyber Acoustic web page claims the Nano 3g can't be charged by the CA-421 dock. Au contraire! When using electrical power and the included dock adapter, I had no difficulty charging a Nano 3g with this CA-421 dock. In fact, contrary to the company's description, it did the same with a Classic and the Touch (I don't own an iPhone, though.) Since writing the following, I've "gone through" other speakers, including the most popular rechargeable Altec Lansing and Logitech, both of which balk at playing the newest Touch. This inexpensive iRhythms model actually sounds competitive and continues to be the only portable I can depend on (no doubt due to the well-constructed adapters and the provision for using regular AA alkalines). Looks good, sounds great, does all that is required
I was looking for something cheap to listen to podcasts while I was working in the garage. This thing plays loudly with no apparent distortion. Very well designed with digital volume control. Recharged my iTouch in less than an hour. At the present it has adapters for all iPods regardless of what the descriptions may say. Had I paid twice as much I would have still regarded it as a bargain.

Fab little speakers
These speakers have great sound for their size. If you're looking to spend this amount on speakers, then they are great. I listen to dance music when I'm travelling and the sound is good when it's played reasonably loud. My only (small) complaint is that I have a white iPod and only black speakers are available. But apart from that, I'm really happy with these.

I bought this item after reading several positive reviews posted on this site. Having tried it out, I do agree with many of the positive comments, but also found a couple of negatives that turned out to be deal-breakers for me, and I have decided to return it. One of the negatives is specific to my particular listening preference and may not apply to other folks. I bought this unit to use with my iPod in the bedroom. I like to fall asleep listing to SOFT music, so good low-level volume control is important for me. Unfortunately this unit are not well matched to that need. It has very little sensitivity at low levels: with the volume set only a few steps above zero on the push-button control, the sound level is already getting rather loud. Worse, the unit does not "remember" the previous volume stetting when it is switched on, instead it automatically resets to a mid level (which is actually quite loud) - this is something one could live with, obviously, but for me it's just too...

Should have gone for a Sony in the first place
After trying a really crappy iHome iA5 and a confusing Jensen JiPS-250i, I went for simple-but-elegant with this Sony. Worked beautifully right out of the box. Don't want apps, don't want bells and whistles, don't need concert hall-quality sound. Just want an iPhone clock radio that will reliable charge my device and let me listen to my podcasts in bed at night without generating a bunch of error messages about how "this accessory is not optimized" for use with my iPhone. This one does the job. Small footprint on bedside table is a nice bonus.Highly recommended.

Does what it's designed for
When I went to the different stores I was looking for a small, minimal space occupying alarm clock that I can put by my bedside that would charge my iPhone, an adjustable buzzer volume that would wake me up with the buzzer, and not illuminate my whole room. If you're looking for that, then this is the product you need. In my shopping in stores I found them all to be too large, or the clock too bright, or the buzzer wasn't loud enough and didn't give you the option to adjust the volume to a level suitable for yourself. If you're looking for a high quality sound system, I doubt this is product for you because even though I didn't test the sound, I can't see it being used to provide music for a house party because it is so compact. I also really like that the ability to adjust the brightess of the alarm clock is real easy to find because it doubles as the snooze button when the alarm isn't going off. Awesome product
Love it, and it is even better than the description makes it sound. I love that I can set the volume for the alarm itself so that I can listen to music while I fall asleep and not have to worry about it being to low in the morning to wake me up. I also love that I can turn the backlight off at night. The only issue I have with it is that it is really easy to accidently snooze for longer than you would like. If you push the snooze button more than once it increases the snooze time, so be careful with that.

Just What I Was Looking For
My previous FM transmitter/charger for the iPhone 4 was the , which I do NOT recommend. I purchased two of these over a one year period because the 12V adapter stopped working in the first one. The second one worked for a time, but after a few months, the charger began blowing the fuse for my radio/cigarette lighter. I went through ten fuses before I finally decided to buy the Flexsmart 4i.--Hardware--When I received the product, I was very impressed with the packaging and detailed instructions - a good hint as to the quality of the product. Installation was a snap. I have a '96 Honda Accord, where the cigarette lighter is located near the bottom of the dash panel and to the right of the shifter. Exactly what I was looking for
I bought this mount in preparation for a vacation that was going to involve a lot of driving. I use my phone in conjunction with the free MapQuest app as a GPS unit, and I learned the hard way that I really need some kind of mount for it. My old mount cost about $20, and uses a suction cup system to adhere to the dash, with sticky gel to "hold" the cell phone in place. After about six months of rattling around in my pickup, the suction cup doesn't hold any more, and the sticky is long gone from the gel pads. I had no confidence that it would hold my expensive iPhone 4 safely.One of the other problems I had with my original mount was with the cords. I had a power adapter plugged in to keep the device charged, and was using an audio cable to connect the phone's headphone jack to the Aux in on the car stereo in order to listen to MP3s, and to hear my GPS program's friendly computer voice through the car stereo. Great Deal and Does the job for iPhone 4
Overall, two thumbs up. I typically don't write product reviews, but I looked around and tried a number of methods and devices to do what I describe in the following, and after much time and mistrials, the only product I found that does it all is the GoGroove FlexSmart.I wanted the product to do three things: (a) First, I wanted a car charger for my iPhone 4. The FlexSmart does that just fine, and the price of the item is about the same as an Apple car charger. (b)I wanted a iPhone holder for the car; it's OK for that. A little bit wobbly, but I feel safe mounting my device to it. Its gooseneck neck isn't too long, which probably adds to the stability, but it also makes it somewhat crowded around my car's dashboard controls (e.g., heater knobs). I can live with that. (c) I wanted an FM tuner base. I tried the only FM tuner presently suggested by Apple for iPhone 4, the Belkin, which contrary to what Apple states, did not work with my iPhone 4. I purchased the product with the understanding from the product details that I could sync either the iPad or the iPhone by pressing the appropriate button on the charger and that the device would sync and switch to charge automatically for both devices if docked via a/c or laptop. My iPhone is in an Otter Case so it does not make connection with the Evo Charger. Removing the Otter Case is another story. LOL! The iPad 2 is in a Tab Stand which is easy to pop off. Seating the iPad onto the charger can be tricky at first. To make sure I had good contact I took the Tab Stand off. The User Manual is written poorly (at least for me). There are a couple of pictures, one showing the charger's USB cable ONLY attached to a laptop.
